Botswana is a landlocked country in southern Africa roughly the shape of a triangle. It is 600 miles north to south, and 600 miles east to west. About 70% of the country is desert. This country has a subtropical desert climate with almost no rainfall for six months. It is Africa’s oldest country with continuous democracy.
